SARAH di iorio, FOUNDER

As a young hairdresser, Sarah Di Iorio and many of her clients had adverse reactions to colours and common hair products. Seeing the effects of products on people’s eyes, scalps and skin was the catalyst to understand more about healthy products and services in the hair industry. These reactions were especially worrying for young children and pregnant woman. Sarah decided that staff and clients deserved an alternative which enabled them to look and feel fantastic without the compromises – and Organika Hair was created as a direct realisation of that vision.

PAUL, SALON CO-OWNER + SENIOR STYLIST, carlton

Heart-centred Paul is our warm and fuzzy ‘Dad’ of our Carlton location. Paul is a MAD ‘Dees’ fan (you can find him at the football all winter long), talented cook and food-lover, and loves to unwind at home with a glass of red.

Gabi, Senior stylist, Carlton

Gabi has an impressive array of experience in various countries where he has worked with actors and directors in TV and Cinema along with working with fashion collections and shows.

With over 20 years experience, he’s also been a salon owner & adds an amazing new dynamic to our team. Gabi has entrenched himself into the Organika way, but is also sharing his International experience and true source of inspiration for our team.

Luise, SENIOR STYLIST, carlton

Luise first came to Australia in 2020 and fell in love with Melbourne straight away.  She started her career 10 years ago in Berlin, Germany where she discovered her passion for hair. She loves everything about hair from buzz cuts to balayage and even the odd creative colour.

 In her free time you can find her out exploring everything Australia has to offer.

RACHAeL, SENIOR STYLIST, ELWOOD

Rachael grew up in rural Victoria, and has been in the industry for over ten years. Rachael now practices as Organika Hair’s blonde specialist, and has a reputable band of qualifications under her stylish belt.

On her days off, you can find Rachael relaxing to Netflix, spending quality time with her partner, or doing a sweaty workout at the gym. Despite her allergy to cats, she perseveres, and loves her pets.

Alexandra, Senior stylist, carlton

Alexandra is a Melbourne girl who started hairdressing at the age of 16. She has always loved being creative, especially with colour. She also loves the challange and satisfaction from cutting curly hair.

You'll probably find Alexandra at the beach on a hot summers day with an aperol spritz 

LUKE, SENIOR STYLIST, ELWOOD

“I have been with Organika Hair in Elwood for eight years and have been in the hair industry for over 20 years. In May 2018, I attended a ‘Vidal Sassoon ABC 2’ cutting-course in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. My key takeaways were learning new skills, travel, and meeting other stylists from around the world.” - Luke.

Luke is an Organika Hair family favourite, with an infectious smile and laugh. It’s no wonder that the highlight of his day is to see his clients leave with a smile on their face.

Gemma, Senior STYLIST, elwood

Gemma is from Auckland, New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 2024.

“When I moved Melbourne, Organika was my first choice of salons to work for”.

Gemma started her hairdressing journey at 15 and never looked back. “Hairdressing has always been the dream job and I’m excited to continue that dream working for Organika. I enjoy doing it all, from big colour transformations to a small cuts & trims”.

 “With my spare time I plan to explore Melbourne and do some traveling across the rest of Australia”

MEL, SALON CO-ORDINATOR, ELWOOD

The lovely Mel has been working with Organika for over ten years, as front of house and manager. In her previous life, she worked as a hairdresser for 19 years.

As a long term ‘Organika baby’, Mel has known our Founder Sarah since she was fifteen years old. She loves to indulge in a glass of red, and connect with her five lovely children, and six grandchildren.

Lydia, Senior stylist, ELWOOD

Lydia started working in a salon in Scotland when she was 14 and quickly knew it was going to be her life long passion.

“Since moving to Melbourne in 2023, my love for hair has grown even more. I especially love all things long hair from foils to blow waves”.

 “In my free time you’ll find me in the local restaurants but also regularly in the gym to burn off all those extra calories”

Dean, Salon Co-ordinator, Carlton

Dean is our home grown salon co-ordinator in Carlton and loves getting to know our wonderful client base.

Commencing his journey with Organika Hair as an apprentice in 2013, Dean learnt from the best in the industry, and used this knowledge to cultivate his personal mission; that quality doesn’t need to cost you or the earth.

With a keen eye on emerging products, Dean is always on the lookout for the latest and greatest trends.

Daniella, Salon Co-ordinator, Carlton

Daniella has been part of the Organika team for many years, firstly joining us as a young, vibrant personality and later re-joining us after starting her beautiful family with 2 children. 

You can always find Daniella laughing and forming a great relationship with our clients. As the front of house coordinator, Daniella loves to get to know the clients and witness the beautiful hair transformations that take place everyday.
